Sichuan Panda Villa explores an architecture embedded within the dense bamboo landscape of Sichuan. Sculptural villa prototypes are dispersed throughout the forest and connected by a fluid circulation spine, allowing the development to maintain an intimate relationship with its natural setting. Each villa is organized vertically within a tapered enclosure, framing views into the landscape while creating a distinct spatial identity. The work was developed while on the competition team at Morphosis.
